The First Generation Scholarship Fund is an all-volunteer organization based in the communities of Larchmont and Mamaroneck, NY.  It was  established in 2007 by a group of individuals who passionately believe in providing all students with access to an excellent higher education. Our goal is to support Mamaroneck High School graduates who aspire to attend college and are ineligible for traditional scholarships, student loans, and grants due to their immigration status. Scholarship recipients are also usually the first generation of their family to attend college in the USA. While the focus of our support has been on students in undergraduate programs, we have also supported students enrolled in graduate degree programs.

​We work closely with staff from Mamaroneck High School and the Community Resource Center.

In addition to financial assistance, we provide our scholarship recipients with a variety of other supports to enable them to be successful. We work closely with each student throughout their time at college, and even beyond that.
